Burning Barn Rum
Motivated by a fire on our family farm in 2015, we were inspired to forge something positive from the set back, so we created a true craft offering for rum drinkers. The fire taught us never to settle. To always go that extra mile. We use only whole, natural ingredients to flavour our rums and only natural materials on our bottles. Our labels are printed on recycled paper and we use a natural wood and cork stopper, ensuring no plastic is used to seal our bottles.
Our rum is a blend of the finest molasses rich Column and Pot still rums from the Diamond Distillery on the Demerara River in Guyana. The rum is matured in the Caribbean heat for two to three years in American oak casks that once held Bourbon whisky. We then flavour our unique rums here in the UK. We cold smoke our Smoked rum with wood from the apple trees our father planted over 30 years ago. The result is intensely smoky with hints of apple and burnt treacle. A punchy nose is followed by a beguilingly smooth drink, perfect for sipping over ice. The spices in our Spiced rum are roasted whole, by hand, before infusing into the rum. We wanted to create a true spiced rum, one that’s actually spicy and has a real kick to it. We use coconut, allspice, vanilla, ginger and chilli to create a spice-led rum which shine through any mixer.
